XP: Throwing a bridal shower
I m throwing a bridal shower for my neighbor. Is there anything from your shower that you loved? Theme, gifts, games, food, etc. Any suggestions?
TIA

So easy, and so good!
I really appreciated that my sister took my wants/needs/likes into consideration. For example, I really dislike shower games, so we didn't play any. I love cooking so she made the theme about the kitchen.
I also agree with a pp, it was so amazing to have all of the people who ment so much to me in one room. And for those who created drama, my sister took care of it with out me even knowing about it. She did a great job!
GL and have fun throwing the shower!
I'm helping plan a bridal shower later this year, so we're tossing around themes right now...
Brunch Shower - Mimosas, quiche, lots of fresh flowers
Drinks & Dessert - later afternoon/evening with cocktails, cupcakes, sweets
Kitchen Theme - vases of wooden spoons as decor, cute apron for bride
Tea Party - traditional, lots of pink, little sandwiches
HTH GL!
My family always does a timer when the bride/mom-to-be is opening gifts at a shower. The timer is put at 5 minutes and whoever brought the gift that the bride is opening gets to choose a prize. Then the timer is reset...It keeps people involved when the bride is opening lots of gifts
also, someone will make a big basket of envelopes for thank you notes. When people drop off thier gift they fill out thier address on a card & it is so much easier for the bride
