Newbie/V-Day!
Hey ladies Im new to the boards! I came over from theknot.com. My FI and I just got engaged and we live together so I figured this would be a good site for me/us 
So whats everyone planning for Valentines day?!
What are you getting for your Men?
Being that its our first Valentines day living together in our house and newly engaged, I want it to be very special! I know he'll prob take me out to ruths chris or something for dinner...so Im thinking about making dinner for him the night after in lingerie ;-) as a surprise and probably dressing up the night of Valentines after we go out to dinner.
What else can i do? I want something new and fun!

We are either going out of town to Myrtle Beach or going to a cool local spot. I love this little restaurant in Myrtle Beach, and during the off season you can get an great hotel room for pretty cheap. If that does not happen, we will probably go to a local fondue restaurant. I love fondue!
As for a present, I like to give practical gifts, so I think I will give him some new tennis shoes. He actually needs some, since his last pair are 2 years old.
We usually celebrate the whole weekend because my birthday is on the 15th.
I think that we are going to make the upgrade to a king size bed and get a super comfortable matress & cute bed frame!
We are heading over to wine country (Napa). Its sooo beautiful out there! We always try a new winery everytime we go out there...My DH made reservations at the Renaissance Marriott in Sonoma.
I haven't decided what I am going to get my Husband for V-day, but I definately want to give him something special since its' our 1st Valentine's Day as a married couple.

It's so super cool it's your first Valentine's Day together as real adults living together. You should totally have buttseks with him. That would be such a sweet gift and let him know you really love him.
As for me, I'm getting my men (plural apparently) lots of stuffed animals, roses, chocolates and sexy lingerie (tee hee hee!) because that's what television has told me a good woman is supposed to do.

1. make homemade coupons on the computer (hold hands with me for 15 minutes, one batch of homemade cookies, "wild," etc.) and gave them each an expiration date. -my ex never used them, my fiance might though
2. order a pizza. eat the pizza. decorate the pizza box with hearts, stickers, etc. bake homemade sugar cookies. make HUGE heart-shaped cookies and several small lip-shaped (X's) and circle (O) cookies. decorate with white and red frosting and put in box.
i did think of one other idea a long time ago but i'm afraid it'll be too cold. we r building a house so i thought it would be neat to pack a picnic supper and candles and set up a spot on the floor in the house. it would be very romantic, but there isn't even any insulation in the house yet so it would be FREEEEEEZING cold. we don't really have a place that we can go and be completely alone w/o being disturbed; when the house is done we will finally be able to, but not until then. u could do something similar if u made supper (or dessert). u could shut off all the lights, light some candles, and set up a lil carpet picnic for the two of u.

well for one, my dh would be through the roof. he'd prefer that to any romantic crap. out of all the guys i know (which is a lot being in an infantry brigade and doing weapons R&D) they would prefer rough wild monkey sex to anything romantic and sweet. they only do the romantic and sweet stuff for the girl to make her happy.
it's pretty much the premise behind steak and blow job day...it's what most guys really want. dress it up with some super high heeled slut shoes, and lingerie, garters, and thigh highs and they are in heaven.
