TR:Issue with CD's for Maya
TR = Toddler related 
Josh and I bought two of the Peapod cloth diapers in the large size for Maya, just to see how she'd go in them overnight. Sort of like a trial run of them before bubby gets here and we start using them on him/her.
I am SO careful in my placement of the inserts (the regular insert and the overnight insert) to the point of checking and rechecking to see if everything is in place. However, we have used them about 6-7 times overnight and only had ONE night where she didn't wet through them/leak.
Sigh. Not sure if she just has a high volume of pee overnight (I give her a sippy cup of milk before bed and leave another sippy cup of water on her bedhead for if she's thirsty during the night) or if I'm using the diaper wrong or what! I suspect she just pees too much and the diaper doesn't cope lol.
Ah well, guess we'll see how the new bub goes in his/her CD's...

For a toddler CD overnight you might try wool covers and fleece liners or doublers.
Many CDers resort to sposies for overnight because it's the best optionf for avoiding wetness.

I had to look up what a pea pod diaper looked like - sounds like it's similar to a bumgenius.
A fleece liner isn't really going to help - that is just to try to keep the diaper dry close to Maya (and your diaper already has that type of layer).
Instead try adding one more insert. You could try it out with one you already have or use a Hemp insert - they get great reviews for this purpose. Or as Lori said, a really nice fitted (not sure what you have in AU, but something like a Good Mama or Sunstainable Babyish (sloomb.com) maybe even with another insert (hemp) laid in it with a wool cover would last through the night. If you did that a fleece liner might be nice to keep Maya's skin dry.

I couldn't really tell from the peapods website what the insert was made out of - but if it's microfiber it doesn't need to be prepped, only natural fibers need prepping so that might not be the issue...
This reminds me - what are you washing them in? Sometimes detergent buildup can cause repelling, but if the problem is only overnight it's probably just a matter of finding a good insert combo that works
Thanks for the tips everyone. I am unsure as to what the inserts are made of actually...I might call the company and speak to them about it.
I make sure to use very little detergent and have washed them about half a dozen times so I don't think the problem lies there...
I haven't tried them during the day with her so I may just put them on her for 4 hours or so and see how they stand up then.
*makes mental note to ask the company if they have hemp inserts*
hmmm well I'm not sure but when I got the bumgenius diapers that were microfiber, the package still said to prewash them several times. doesn't sound like that is the issue anyway though....
depending on whether or not DD is a heavy wetter, i know that some mamas are only able to get a diaper to last for 2 hrs w/o using a doubler, even during the day, FYI... I'm pretty sure that's why I hear about people using doublers on long car trips - so they don't have to stop and do a diaper change. and even w/a really absorbent diaper, i think most mamas will change the diaper every 3 hrs during the day.
I know most of the CD mamas on diaperswappers are in the US or Canada but you might want to ask there and see if someone there might be able to offer some insight

Maya is on a 4 hourly diaper change schedule (even then, her diaper isn't soaked really) at the mo but that's with sposies so I'll see if her wearing a CD will shorten that time in between changes.
We're just starting to get her to hop onto the toilet before her evening bath/shower so toilet training is slowly being introduced. Got a feeling she'll take a while to toilet train.
She hasn't done anything when she's on the toilet yet (she's only just been ok with sitting on it for 5 seconds as opposed to freaking out when I pop her on lol) but I am starting to understand why parents make a HUGE deal and get so excited when their kid finally 'goes potty' on the toilet lol.
I think she's having more fun just climbing up and down the little steps on it (it's one of those toddler step-up potty seats that fit over a regular toilet).
CDs definitely do not hold as much as sposies do! little A does fine with just a PF overnight for 5-7 hrs right now w/o a doubler, but that's b/c her bladder is teeny tiny right now
i am not sure what the norm is for a toddler in CDs but I'm sure if you posted on diaperswappers the mamas there would be happy to tell you 
GL w/the potty learning! they say girls learn quicker than boys do, so hopefully it wont' take as long as you think
