Need Birthday Gift Ideas

Hey Ladies -

I am hoping to tap into your creative minds for a minute.... The Husbands birthday is around the corner (next week - ah!), and I have been wracking my brains to try and figure out something to get him. Ive asked him directly, and he says he doesnt know what he wants... but what do you get for a guy that has everything? There are no tech objects that he wants/needs, and going to any "away" trips is limited because its tax season now and he has to work every Saturday until April.

Ive tried looking at sports tickets,  concert tickets, or any other event coming to the CNY area - but no luck,,,,

Do any of you guys have a good birthday gift idea that has worked with your DH's? Money is really not an object....

Re: Need Birthday Gift Ideas

  • The gift that my husband liked the most were his custom - made harley cufflinks.  He practically wears them everyday.

I am assuming your husband is some kind of accountant or something?  Is there a nice briefcase he could use or something work related that he could use everyday?

How about a massage to relieve some of the tax season tension?

How about getting his car detailed inside and out?  My husband really appreciates that also.

  • Jeff is an accountant (though he's contracted by the fed gov so doesn't do tax). He has his busy season in the fall (7 day work weeks, 12 hour days, insanity, so I know what your husband goes through!) :)

What about planning a short trip for after tax season? Something to look forward to perhaps? I also try to send/bring him a nice lunch once a week during the busy time (if he's around, travels a lot).

Jeff has always wanted a custom tailored suit...that's on his short list of things to get. :)

  • I got my husband The Glenlivet Whisky and he loves that stuff. A bit pricey, but nice for a special occasion - or stress relief after or during tax season!
