I know this sounds crazy..

But I have to share it with someone.  In December when we got a lot of snow and the weather was crappy, I started wearing flats everyday to work because our parking lot was a huge hazard.  Then I just sort of got into a rut and for a month straight wore flats everyday to work.  So about two weeks ago my favorite pair of black flats dies.  So I have no replacement and I have no money to go shopping.  So I start back to wearing heels everyday.  Every single work date for the last two weeks I've worn heels.

I've totally noticed a difference in my legs.  They are a little more toned and  my pants fit better.  Yes I've lost about 3 pounds as well, but I think wearing heels makes a difference!!!

Okay you can go ahead and laugh at me now.

Re: I know this sounds crazy..

  • Wow I should start wearing heels every day if it will help me lose weight!

  • Ha ha!

I have a somewhat amusing shoe story as well.  Being only 5'2" I am a constant 4" heel wearer.  I just bought a pair of black flats a couple of weeks ago thinking that being PG and all that I should try to tone it down a bit.  Don't you know that those suckers gave me blisters like you can't believe.  I wore them for 2 days and gave up.  I'm convinced that heels are just easier!

there are some bad flats out there - my plantaar fasciitis in the past has been from wearing poorly made flats.

  • I'm not a heels girl ... as in pumps type of shoes simply because I wear a lot of pants.  I do wear a lot of platform or chunky heel type shoes because...well...I'm short.  But I never noticed any difference in my legs.  However, when my mom got me a pair of boots with a shorter heel...I couldn't reach the top of the copy machine anymore hahaha  I had to tippy toe it.

LOL.  I said it sounded crazy.

  • I'm going to go buy stilts now or perhaps some really high stripper shoes.  Maybe I can work on 2 things at once :)
