It's Monday already (boooooo).
How is everyone?
I am hoping this week FLIES.
Re: Good Morning Lovelies!
Me. too. This is probably going to be the most sucktastic week ever at my job so I hope it goes fast. It's the last week of our biggest sale of the year. It's going to be nuts.
The weekend was fun, but it went by way too fast . . perhaps because I slept until 11 on Saturday?
Morning girlies!
Man this weekend went waaaaaaay to fast
I am so mad it its monday!
I started sanding and staining and painting the $50 china hutch I found on craigslist! I cant wait to see it finished. Totally bummed though, I got stain on the sleeve of my favorite jacket
soooo sad
Also, I got some of that fancy yogurt today... Fage, and it has the honey on the side and you have to stir it in..OH MY WORD! Waaaay better then the one with the honey already in the mix!
This week marks the end of the first semester of school. Can't believe two nine weeks have gone by already! The student have finals on Thursday and Friday and they are also early dismissals which is nice because I won't have students working so I can finish up some paper work.
On the down side, I woke up with a headache and sore throat... Really hope I am not getting sick
Good morning!
It's our due date today, and Lovebug is being a silly goose. But we're hopeful he'll be born this week, before I personally kick him out!
So Sheri, get that couch ready, it's only a matter of days!
COUCH!! COUCH!! COUCH!! (ok, I'm excited for ya, Lore!!! Can't wait!!!)
Wow-I went from no work to too much work!!! OMG. So, I might have to blip on and blip off... LONG work week-M-Sat. blah.
Headache today--was here all weekend. Time for it to GO!
Ugh. I had to work last Friday rather than having it off like I usually do. I don't know how people get anything done with 2 day weekends as opposed to 3 day!
My weekend was good, but uneventful. However, DH and I discovered True Blood Season 2 on HBO OnDemand last night. Woohoo!
I'm trying to have a positive week by thinking positive thoughts, but then again it's Monday and I'm sure that won't last long.
The nasty side of Mother Nature has arrived again. We are currently in a Blizzard Advisory. Just Lovely!
Other than that I have a crazy busy week and surprisingly I'm looking forward to it. Please requote this to me when I biotch about it later in the week.
Weekend was good.
Friday, went to visit my mom. We had a really nice talk about how proud she is of me and just pretty much all the right words I needed to hear. She hasn't been doing too well lately but I know she is at peace with the situation. She is such a strong woman and I can only hope I have a little part of that in me.
Saturday - visited my mom in the am. Saturday afternoon picked up our patio furniture that we ordered (it was a one day sale and I had a good online coupon). Then Saturday night we went to a nice restaurant for dinner and had the best meal ever. It was crab cakes, corn salsa and house mashed potatoes. I swear they were the best crab cakes I've ever had. Mmmmm and we went and played at the slots and I won $60. I was so excited because I never win anything!
Sunday - I woke up to DH being extremely affectionate and sweet, which is a very rare occurence. He also said all the right things and we just had an amazing weekend together. To top it off my son came back early from his dad's because he missed me! So needless to say, I felt very loved and soaked it all up.
Wassup?!
I still have flutters in my heart and tummy from the game last night. I am already over everyone b!tching and complaining about it though. AND I cant believe that I have to wait two weeks for SBS. This place is going to implode before then, I can see it already.
I hope this week goes by quickly. Hopefully it will be slower than last week because it was too busy for me to enjoy it. I am just now getting over my sickness too so hopefully that helps.
DH and Ihad a very disapointing weekend.
We went to look at a house that we were so sure was going to be IT.
It had 8 acres a shop building 3 br 2 bth house, Baeutiful flat land PERFECT for horses.
So we get there sunday and the lady is not there yet so we walk around. We brought our very good friend from church, who is also our insurance man, to kinda be a 3rd pair of eyes. Well we walked around looking at the land the area around the house, it needed some weedeating, over grown shrubs removed but nothing major.
Well the lady gets there and we go in the shop building first... and heres where my heart began to sink.
There was standing water in the back of the building from leaking, a roof tile missing in each room with insulation hanging out, from cats living in it. It didn't smell to bad just old and kinda moldy. I was thinking well it is only a shop building so that's ok...
Well we walk back to the house and the lady had previously told us she hadn't been there in a week, we get in there, and they had just left a dog living and roaming freely in the house FOR A WEEK!! The smell almost knocked me down. The poor little dog had food and water but it was filthy. I wanted to kidnap the poor little dog, oh and it was blind. So sad.
The floors had soggy weak spots and the ceilings had water stains. The crazy thing is though the walls were beautiful. Painted nicely, pretty colors. It had so much potential but I don't think you could have ever gotten that smell out, other than just bulldoseing it over. And the lady wants too much for us to beable to buy and build a new house. We were just shocked and so disapointed.
Sorry this kinda turned into a rant/pity party.
This.
I know I'm going to say somthing to the man that owns the place where I keep my horse. He is part of the Animal Rescue in our town and he's a judge too.
She said it was her daughters dog who is in Iraq, and I know if I knew my dog was being kept like that while I was gone I would be FURIOUS!!!
Good!!! Hoefully they go get that poor pup! That is sooo uncool.
P.s. totally sorry tthat the hosue was a disaster. That happened a TON when we were searching! They looked awesome on the internet, but once you got there, holy hell...it was like they posted pictures from 10 years ago or something. Total wrecks
This & This
Good afternoon, girls!
It's a short week for me this week- only working till Wednesday and Thrusday I leave for long weekend at my parent's/quilting retreat with my mom and my aunt.
All day sickness ramped up this week and I am ready for that to be over with. I have no specific triggers, so that is making it pretty hard to attempt to avoid it.
Happy Monday ladies. I know I'm late to this...it's been quite a day.
We had a great weekend this weekend - just relaxing and enjoying each other.
