Today my MIL is having surgery b/c she broke her elbow.
she was carrying my nephew in the airport on the way back from my shower and tripped over some ladies bag and fell down. luckily, my nephew was just fine as she broke the fall with her elbow, which shattered. her surgery is finally today to try to repair it. ouch!! i can't imagine.
and wednesday is my dad's sentencing date. i'm one of 4 people who will be speaking on his behalf. We've got some good news lately....it seems that the court liason who met with both the prosecutor and the defense recommended that some charges were dropped which reduced his potential sentence. instead of 2 years, we are hoping for 1 year and 3 weeks.
his sentence is wednesday, but it is usually (from what i've been told) 1 - 2 weeks for paperwork to go through to where my dad will serve his sentence. we are really hoping that he gets to spend that 1 - 2 weeks at home, but there is a small chance they can take him into custody on wednesday and keep him with general population until they can bus him up to "club fed". we hope that isn't the case, but are preparing to say goodbye to him on wednesday, just in case.
TIA for your thoughts and prayers! it is going to be a long 3 days!
Re: need april 08 dust this week please!
Ouch! Recovery dust to your MIL! DH broke his elbow in a car accident 7 and a half years ago, and he can't move his lower arm more than an inch, it's always in a bend position. I really hope your MIL comes out better than that.
And good luck with your dad's sentencing. Fingers crossed for the shorter sentence and those 1-2 weeks at home with his family!
I'm sorry your week is going to be so rough. Lots of healing vibes to your MIL and good luck to your dad. I hope things go in his favor.
Stay strong. We love you!
Good recovery dust to your MIL! What a fall!
I'll be praying for you on Wednesday. I really hope everything goes smoothly for you guys. I'm glad they're dropping some of the charges and for the sentence reduction. A year will go by so fast - I can't believe we've got a little more than 2 1/2 years left (and honestly that I've survived the last 3!) I really hope you get that extra time at home with your dad.
Good luck this week!
Ouch! Your poor MIL. That sounds horribly painful.
I hope you guys have a good week with your dad and I'll be sending T&Ps. Stay strong, Jen!
