Hey ladies!
I probably won't check in in the morning before I leave for school, and I can't sleep right now anyway from nervousness, but today I have the oral defense of my second year project proposal (basically a master's thesis, but since I already have a master's I can't file for another one). If you could be sending me positive thoughts at 11:30 a.m. PST I would really appreciate it!
I'll report back in the afternoon. Unless I'm crying. But let's not consider that option (if I fail, they kick me out of the program. But that is pretty rare. I think. Knocking on wood, crossing my fingers and throwing salt over my shoulder).

You'll be fabulous. Remember: CONFIDENCE.
11:30 a.m. is right when I start teaching my class, so I'll be sure to send good thoughts/vibes your way while I'm taking attendance.
Good luck!!! Will be thinking of you and sending you positive oral defense dust.
ETA: Why can't you get a second Masters? Are they through the same school? I have two Masters in the same area (but from different schools). I'll still call you a Double Master, regardless.
Thanks guys! It's done! WAHOOOOOO!
On the whole, I think it went pretty well. There was a last-minute sub of one of the panel members and the new panelist ended up being a professor that I like. I'm in her class right now. She gave me a really stony face the entire time (and was the only one to say a critical comment) but the other two panelists were really supportive, smiling and nodding throughout!
I was able to answer their questions at the end to their satisfaction, so I think it really all worked out for the best. I am totally excited and screamed/sang in my car all the way home!!
As for the double master's, my first one is in special education and I guess the rule is because I already have that I can't get one in general education because they're both education (even though they're different types). Whatever.
Next stop, written proposal!
