Re: NER: Dog or Cat person?
Both. I had dogs all my life up till graduate school and my last dog died :-( But, I think I have my husband convinced to get a dog when Sophie's a little older.
Anyway, I wasn't allowed dogs in my college apts, so I got a cat - I don't do well without pets (they relax me). I have a cat now, and I love her.
Cats, even though I'm terribly allergic to them. (but not to bengals - oh, how I heart bengals - they're the bestest hypoallergenic kittehs on the market
)
I like dogs, too, just not nearly as much. They take too much effort for my lazy self to truly love them. All that walking and picking up poo....blech. Definitely not for me.
I converted to cats in college. I'm pretty sure my current cat is the best pet I'll ever have.
Dogs. I'm not a cat person at all. My sister has 2, and I like them enough, but I would never have one myself.
Did you know cats are the only mammal, besides humans, that kill just for fun? They kind of scare me.
Flame Away!
Dog! And here is mine:
Sweet, sweet girl.
Yeah, but the things they kill are the things I don't want in my house. My cats took out a spider just last night.
Also, when the trolls come to steal your breath, those dogs aren't going to save you.
Cats. But, I also love dogs, rats, mice, snakes, lizards, etc. The only animals I don't really like are horses and that stems from being bitten by one when I was younger. I haven't yet forgiven the entire species for it. I'll probably get a dog when we get our yard fenced in.
soprano, you have a golden retriever! Me too!
I have a cat and a dog. I think I'd always like to have both, although DH dislikes our cat because he's badly behaved. I'm not sure whether we'll have another after this one passes away, although I'll push for one.
Both! Though we can't have pets in student housing. Here are the pets currently at my parents' house. I grew up with 2 cats and 2 dogs, but only 1 cat remains, and they got a new dog. The cat is 'mine', and the dog is my mom's:
Dogs. I hate cats! Sorry! They are evil.
Plus, DH is highly allergic to cats - less so to dogs (and our dogs are shih tzus and have hair not fur so they are good for allergic ppl)
That's what my neighbor says (her 5yo told me when she came over and asked if my cats could come out and play). Where's this coming from? Is it the fangs?
I am a cat person only b/c I have never owned a dog. I think I could become a dog person with the right one though.
