I posted this below in Dana's post string, so forgive the re-post.
I've decided I really want the Mirasol property the most. Its i nteh boundaries of the school I really like and it has a bigger backyard. Please send your vibes! We should hear if they accept our offers this week.
We're putting in offers on both of the houses we saw Sunday. They are both great and we can't decide. We're hoping the bidding will decide for us.
Cascade: http://www.mrmlsmatrix.com/Matrix/Public/Portal.aspx?ID=7435106856 4 brdms 1999 sqft
Cascade is HUGE. The 1st floor layout doesn't make much sense for us. We don't know what we'd do with a formal living room and formal dining room. The back yard is small, but the front entry patio is nice. The tile is lovely but cold. There are yippy dogs in all the houses around it (and our yippy dogs are bark-starters). The kitchen needs some work. They painted the wood cabinets in a wood color and it looks cheap. But the counters are pretty stone tile. There is a nice wide overlook into the formal sitting room from the second floor. There are 4 bedrooms and they are all big. The master bath is enormous. Lots of light. Decent views. It's bank owned... so it's AS-IS. That being said, it's in good condition. New paint (white) and carpet and tile.
Mirasol: http://www.redfin.com/CA/Corona/1216-Mirasol-Ln-92879/home/4617017 3 bdrms 1407 sq ft
This one is not as big as the other one, but it has a very workable layout. It feels warmer and homier. I like the double front doors. The landing is a good size and leads right to a bathroom. The front tile is black "marble" and so is the fireplace surround... not our favorite. It has big picture windows. The carpeting and paint (mocha) are fresh. The downstairs is like a great room, but the kitchen is behind a wall. The back yard is quite large. It has a couple of tiers for landscaping and a big concrete slab patio. The upstairs is nice. The master has pergo flooring and a big bathroom. It also has french doors leading to a romantic square balcony/deck. The views are nice from here, too. It needs new grass, but that is about all it needs. The laundry room is upstairs, which is brilliant. The bedrooms are a bit smaller, but big enough. There's this awesome storage space under the landing that goes on forever. And there were two Chinese Terracotta Warriors in the back yard (weird and cool)!
Both houses need fridges, washers and dryers and blinds or curtains. We like both homes. Cascade is so big! Mirasol is impressive and more finished. We're bidding 260 for both.
What do you think?
Re: Novembie House Vibes Please!
Good luck!!!
When you DO get a house, look at craigslist for appliances! We got a 1 year old side by side with ice and water for liek $300! So awesome!
Good call. We will have to do that.
Good luck!! Good vibes going your way

VERY Cute!!! Lots of great vibes to you that you get the bid!!!
And... if you have ANY bathroom/kitchen questions, please don't hesitate to ask! (and that goes for any of you Novembies!) Ok, well, no gross questions
, but remodel ones are great!
Ditto!
Sorry about the other posts. Total Nest FAIL!
Sending major house vibes your way! I really like the second one too and the fact that it's more finished.
Make sure you sign up on Lowes and HD websites that your are moving and they will send you coupons (Lowes will send to your email in a few days. HD by mail). We had to buy a fridge, w&d and some light fixtures and this saved us a lot. Even if you don't use them for appliances nice to have the coupons.
