Loft like spots I can think of are the Museum of Science which has a really cool room with city views.
Also, Top of the Hub (although that may be too pricey for your client) and Park Plaza is opening a rooftop soon.

The State Room has beautiful views of the city. :-)
I do know Ginger Park! It used to be Banq in the South End. It's right across the street from the Holy Cross Cathedral. Beautifully lit at night. Oh and the food is really good too.
