Who's getting the political ads?
I have seen a grand total of one McCain (and that was ESPN) ad on tv. No Obama, no CA props, nothing. If it wasn't for A06/E08 I wouldn't know anyone had any ads.
Is it just us? Is it because we watch a lot of G4?

Swing state.
I live in South FL and I've gotten a few--but not nearly as many as I figured we'd be getting (Maybe they've conceded South FL tends to be very blue and thus, they're spending their money up north? Don't know...)
But last night we saw an anti-Obama, 527 ad on MSNBC during Maddow and Countdown. I was like, "whoa!" and then I giggled cause I have a feeling that was not money well spent. I'm guessing most people watching Maddow and Countdown aren't the kind who can be swayed by an anti-Obama, 527 ad.
Swing states. Ya'll must be innundated with them!
That's the way I'm kind of leaning, that they're thinking SF = wast of $$$.
There might be some truth to that, though, since DH is a registered Independent and he's been getting MacCain stuff. He's keeps asking "don't they know I live near SF?"
my read shelf:
Haha, was it the 'right change' one?
This is the one I saw!!! They must have went national!
Tons of McCain ads, no Obama.
I don't think are considered a swing state, but I honestly think we are. There are a lot more McCain supporters here than I think the Dems may realize-- (being that NJ is typically blue) and McCain is capitalizing on this. There are a lot of Jews who are voting McCain that never would vote Republican before, and as a state with a substantial Jewish population, I would not rule this sement of people out. Not to mention that we have close ties to NYC/Sept 11, and a lot of people in general are anti-Muslim and believe that Obama is a Muslim (or receiving funds from Muslims).....

I saw that one last night too and loled, DH was like what? and I gave my point about McCain's idiot staff.
my read shelf:
The only one I've seen is the 527 one on the surge, as well.
Washington is purple, but Seattle is pretty blue....
we don't watch much network TV, though... my TV is pretty much limited to Olbermann and Daily Show / Colbert.
I am, though, sick to death of the Gregoire / Rossi ads. We're inundated with them...
It's to be expected: Christine Gregoire won the governorship last time around (against the same opponent, Dino Rossi) by under 200 votes - the tightest margain in the history of US gubinitorial elections... this is a rematch...
The thing that's amazing me, though, is how much Rossi is trying to make himself into an Obama democrat... but that's a story for another time.
I am the 99%.
No...it was the one ESF mentioned. The one about Obama being wrong on the surge.
I've seen tons of McCain ads, which I think is really odd. You'd think they'd give up on the whole bay area, if not California. I haven't paid much attention to what shows/channels, but probably lots of Today show and ESPN.
A few Obama, not many.
No ads for props yet except Prop 7. There's a Prop 7 commercial every break, mostly no, but I think I've seen a yes here and there.
I see McCain almost every commercial and Obama at least five times a week. (Ohio)
I am excited to see the Biden-patriotic ad.
