What kind of stroller do you have?  I am researching double tandem strollers and there is only one that really stands out to me, the Baby Jogger City Select....but it is pretty expensive and just came out in December so I am sort of unsure.  Any recs?

Re: ***Kristi***

  • Definitely go to a store where you can test drive them.  We were going to go with a Graco but decided not to after driving it.  Also keep in mind, that whatever you pick will absolutely be bulky and heavy.

I am still using the double snap and go.  The girls are still in their infant seats (we have the Graco Snugride 32 and plan on keeping them in there until they are a year old.  I would absolutely get them again.  People will say they are heavy, but I haven't found that at all).  I highly recommend getting the double snap and go.  I have the one by Double Trend.  The infant seats snap right into it so you don't need to take them out and re-snap them in.  And it is very light.  And pretty compact.

I have the Baby Jogger City Select but I have a side by side.  In black.  I've only used it a couple of times so far and I like it.  But since they are still in the infant seats I pretty much use the snap and go.

We just purchased the Valco Tri Mode Twin over the weekend with a toddler seat so I can put all three in it (I did not want a triple stroller).  I will use a baby sling with this baby when he/she is an infant but I will also need to put the baby in a stroller with the twins when it is a little older.  My friend who has a 2.5 year old and twins the same age as Sofia and Ava has a ton of strollers and this is her favorite by far.  If I had to choose between the Valco and the Baby Jogger I would pick the Valco.  But it is a little bulkier and heavier.

We decided not to get a tandem because the baby in the back doesn't have the same amount of room as the baby in the front.  I am in a Mom of Multiples group and only a couple of people have tandems for the same reason.  The side by sides are bulkier but the kids will have more room.

  • Thanks Kristi.  I def. want to find one that I can use with their cat seats and through their toddler years and the new City Select seems to be the best option so far.  We are going to go check it out in person today...we'll see.

Do you find that the side by sides are hard to fit through single doorways?  That's my worry.

  • Most stores have single doors wide enough.  And if the single door isn't wide enough, there is usually a second one right next to it that opens so it isn't an issue.
