How much do you spend on gifts?
Just curious to see what people spend on their H's for their birthday and christmas.
It depends for me. If there is something that M wants I will usually buy it. Some years I spend $100 and others $300-$400. He's hard to buy for b/c he usually buys whatever he needs.

Birthday is usually a couple video games, so about $100--if he gets anything at all. Sometimes I get him something too expensive for Christmas and tell him Merry Christmas AND Happy Birthday (his bday is in March). Christmas is usually around $300, but things like a nice camera and bike have gone over and spilled over to the birthday combo gift.
This year I sorta behaved at Christmas (thanks to Amazon and their amazingly low prices) but it's his 30th birthday, so birthday is a huge splurge trip to Vegas. On the flip side, I get a huge splurge 30th birthday trip in Sept!

My 101
For J's birthday in December, I only spent about $30. Usually I spend a little more, but I had only been working a month and didn't have much saved up. Plus we were trying to save other places, as well. Things have really turned around for us, and now DH spent about $300 on my birthday. I guess a lot of that was for both of us, so that doesn't really count, right?
Anyway, it really varies from year to year.

DH doesn't celebrate his birthday, so $0 for that.
I like to go all-out at Christmas, but this year I just couldn't. I spent about $30. I will also try to surprise him during the year randomly with gifts (for things like "Happy Anniversay of Our First Trip together" and stuff.)
Christmas is our big holiday. We spend $200-$300 on each other for Christmas, and maybe $50-$75 for birthdays (not counting a fancy dinner out).
I think we are planning to take a trip each year for our anniversary in lieu of gifts (well I will probably insist on cards too because I love them)
For christmas I spent around $150 and I think for his bday I spent $75. We usually like to keep it around that price range.
Except for this Valentines day. I'm splurging and getting us a $200 couples massage
If I wasn't so happily married myself, I would totally marry you.
As for gifts, we usually keep it around $100, though I guess it varies.

It varies when it's just gifts usually $50-$150. When we go out of town it ends up around $500
generally $200-300 per occasion, but sometimes more (if we take a trip) or sometimes less. We have Christmas, my birthday, his birthday, and then Valentine's day so it gets to be a huge expense quickly.
For our anniversary, we plan splurging a little more every year (nice trip, big ticket item for house, etc).
