Hi Sandra!!! I need to send you a message on FB sometime. I got your last message and never replied.
That name looks like a legitimate Russian or Ukranian name. I've probably mentioned this before, but I actually saw a contestant on Wheel of Fortune once whose name was spelled "Nykky"...as in short for Nicole.
I'm with Jaime. To me that looks like a legit Russian name, so I'm OK with it. What I hate is when people try to take a regular name and make it "special" by adding y...like if Jaime started spelling her name Jayymy lol.
And you know, I never thought about this before, but I think part of the reason the y trend annoys me so much is because for some reason I have a stripper connotation with them. Like if I saw someone with a name spelled Jayymy I'd assume it was a porn star or a stripper lol. That's probably really bad of me...
to be clear, i agree with this too. i just wasn't aware there are legit names with that many Y's

I agree with you, Sandra. Even though it seems like a legitimate European name, I'm not used to seeing so many "y"s, either. I'm more used to seeing something like "Mikita" versus "Mykyta". But I do know that "y" and "i" are sometimes used interchangably.
