Very sad indeed. And it speaks to the core of the issues in Haiti. It isn't for a lack of help, aid, supplies trying to pour into the country, it is that the country itself has no way to organize, distribute or prioritize what they have or need to get.
It is tragic that they worked so many long hours and were not able to save patients because of a lack of support from Haiti itself. Unfortunately I have a feeling many of the people they treated still didn't survive due to post op infections.
