Wedding dress cleaners?

I'm kinda embarrased to ask this... but I need a rec to clean and possibly preserve my gown.  I got married 5 1/2 years ago Embarrassed and my gown has been at my IL's house this whole time.  I picked it up the other day and unzipped the garment bag to see brown stains all down the front from where I spilled champagne.  (Hey, I was dancing that night! You can't expect the champagne to stay in that tiny glass, can you?)  So I need the stains taken out (which I think can be done), and the gown preserved.

How much did you spend on cleaning/preservation?  Any recs??

Re: Wedding dress cleaners?

  • I think I used wedclean.com. I don't remember much else, though, since my MIL sent mine off for me.

  • I used Reids on 620 and I-35 in Round Rock.  They did a really great job.

My co-worker took her daughter's dress here, too, and highly recommended it.  It rained right before her daughter's wedding and they were able to get all the mud stains out of the dress.

  • Austin Cleaners at McNeil/183. That's where I'm going to take mine when I finally get around to it. I've heard nothing but great things about their wedding dress cleaning services. And, Adam is our go-to dry cleaner. He's great (and green!).

  • I used Ricks cleaners in Austin off Anderson Mills and 183 - I think it was $120 (tax & all) for cleaning & pres. Didn't take too long to get the dress back and I am happy with the results. I think the special is all the time.
