Quick hello

I am so effing swamped at work today it's not even funny, so I thought I'd pop on quickly to say hello and good morning in case I don't make it on here at some point today.  I hope everyone is well.

M is home sick today and is SUPER grumpy (which I don't need today) and biitched because I had him move his car this morning so I could get out of the driveway.  Mind you, he feels fine, just has diarreah.  Apparently because I didn't move his car myself, I'm "lazy" so that's just an argument waiting to happen when I get home.

I had my physical yesterday and I now have to see my doctor every 6 months until I lose all the weight he wants me to lose (he would like to see me lose 100 lbs, but knows that may not happen so would like to see me lose at least 60).  I have to at some point jump back on my diet, it was working great, but I fell off as usual.  I tried talking to him about my sleeping issue but he said if I still have an issue after we "move away from the stressful situation, get a new mattress and lose weight" then talk to him, but he seems to think those are all factors as to why I'm having trouble sleeping.  We'll see, I won't knock it.
Something needs to happen soon, I think I'm on the verge of a breakdown or something.  I just made the simpliest mistake on a UPS shipping label (I put the weight as 1 lb. because there really isn't a weight yet, but I read the L as a 1), and when the office assh0le came back to me with it saying "Why does the weight say 1 lb?  I can't ship it like this."  my instant reaction was "I'll fvcking fix it!"  then looking at the paper, seeing there was no weight, I broke down.  This.is.NO BUENO!  So now, BL just told me to go out and "breathe", so I'm running to McDonalds for some breakfast.

Anywho, thanks for hearing me vent.

Re: Quick hello

  • Is it 'be grumpy to your wife' day or what?!? I do not iron DH's shirts-not that I won't, but I only iron on an 'as needed' basis and am not getting up at 4:30 am w him to iron his shirts.  PLUS-I work, too-iron your own darned shirts!  I taught him how to do it... and he's to cheap to take them to a drycleaners-although he was going to yesterday... (PLUS- I fixed the stupid toilet myself while he was ironing-so there! Needed a new handle stick pull thingy in the tank.)  He says I should iron-um. nope. I will if it's a special occassion and have time to do so. I am not his mommy-he is an adult.  WHO did it before I was around and he was 'single'? Hmmmm????? (ok, sorry-not wanting to butt in on Sheri's vent here...)

Well, Sheri-maybe the sleeping will come along when you take c/o the other stuff.  Let me tell ya-I've up'd my intensity w workouts and diet and I just crash at night-unless something' s on my mind-like work.  I am so sorry you're stressed-I hope it gets back to where you need/want it to be, really!

I understand being swamped-doubt I'll be on here this afternoon as I have 2 appts and it's been crazy here!

Hugs to you! I hope it gets better and your breathing helps!

  • What happened with your diet? You were doing so well!

I hope house hunting gives you some inspiration, maybe just having something to look forward to will help ease the stress/breakdown situation.

About M, let him be grumpy. He's not feeling well and he took it out on you. I would avoid picking a fight over it, seems like you don't need the extra stress.

And woman, get something healthy for lunch!

I hope you day gets better!

  • I'm sorry to hear there's so much going on right now.  Ditto the other girls--just let M be grumpy.  I hope the house search goes well...I think you said your appointment was this weekend?  I wish you guys lots and lots of luck!  It seems like getting out of your current living situation will be best for everyone, and I think it'll do wonders for your health and outlook.  Try to take some relaxation time today, even if it's only for a few minutes.  ::HUGS!::

  • Hey - wanna be diet buddies?  I need to lose as much as you do.  AND I need to quit smoking...

Big hugs to you that your day gets better and M chills out before you get home.

  • I think your doc might be right about all of the issues adding up that are causing you not to sleep well.

Good luck to you again on starting your diet!

  • Oi hope you have a better day!!!

I will sing the praises of weight watchers again! I loooved it. I did it all online (I am sooo not a meeting type person) and in like 6-8 months I lost 50 lbs (with out excersizing) and have pretty much kept it all off.

I liked it because no food was a no-no, it was all points.

I agree with your doc on the sleep situation. I have some pretty bad insomnia, DH and I bought a new matress when we moved into the new place and that has helped a bit.

    GL lady!

  • Hang in there, darlin'! And ditto Lore - get a healthy lunch! I'm a stress eater myself, but I find that I only feel worse as soon as my last bite of delicious comfort food is gone :(. I know you can do it - you inspire me!
  • What a crappy way to start a day. I hope it starts getting better. (I'm with you on the losing 100...I will start that in august though.)
