I'm planning a trip with the girls sometime in late March. We want to go somewhere that is legally within the US (so we don't have to worry about passports) and someplace that we CAN drive to from Atlanta (even though we will probably fly). We are looking to be warm, play on the beach, and party in the evenings. Put it this way- the boys are going to Vegas, so we are planning our own trip.
We had been looking at Key West, but a friend warned us not to stay on the beach there, and since we want to stay on the beach, I decided we should try for closer in. I found a pretty good deal on a hotel in Key Largo, but wondered if anyone had any experience there. How is the nightlife? I don't want to book the room if we're going to be bored all week, or fear for our lives after dark...
Re: Travel opinions- Key Largo?
I went to Key West a while back with my parents and liked it. We stayed at a private island which is now owned by the Westin (it was the Hilton) it's called Sunset Key Guest Cottages. It way AMAZING and it was right on the beach.
