500 lb gorilla
So there was talk that my company was going to be sold. I think I mentioned this awhile back. Not only is it very nerve-wracking to have your company sold, the owners daughters were very good friends of mine and they were going to be leaving.
I was out sick yesterday. I come in today and my friends' ofices are cleaned out and we have new ownership. The worst part.. no one is talking about it. I asked another coworker if anything was said yesterday and he said no. Umm hello.. anyone want to say something about this? Our salesforce and my boss are in closed door meetings downstairs. I am really p!ssed that we all have to sit here with our thumbs up our a$$es trying to stay productive when we don't have the slightest idea what the heck is going on. It's infuriating.

Very frustrating and scary. So what are you supposed to do? Business as usual? But how?

Sorry this happening Gerrie, I really hope that they are just preparing on what to say to you guys. That really does frustrate the employees and I bet no one is really willing to do their job right now. It's like a state of panic.

I know that this is the case and I have to respect the privacy but it's just so hard! Thanks for this perspective I know this is a tough time for everyone. I am just feeling a little too self absorbed right now and I want to know how it effects me... sometimes things are bigger than just little ole me. I need to put that in check.
