Winter Olympics
I guess I didn't really grasp that they're starting soon. Anyone excited for them? I have kind of mixed feelings. When I was younger I used to follow figure skating, but I've been out of the fanbase for several years and don't know anyone anymore.
I do enjoy watching the ski jumping, though.
(That might make a good siggy challenge while they're going on: favorite winter olympic sport.)

Speed skating...love Apollo and it is just So fast and So close together.
Curling...cause I'm a giant geek
I love curling, too!!! It's fascinating to me.
That being said, I'm not so sure it's a sport. It's about as much of a sport as billiards or shuffleboard.
I forgot about those! I love speed skating and curling is hilarious.
When are they starting? I've seen commercials, but haven't heard a start date. I remember the summer olympics were a big deal because they started on 08-08-08, but I haven't seen a start date for this one.
DH loves curling... who knows why, it's so weird! I might watch speed skating, but only if I just happen to see it.
The winter olympics this year just reminds me of the Leno/Coco debaccle on NBC. ::sigh:: I miss Coco already...
I am in love with curling. Both Canadian mens and womens teams are from Alberta!! Woot woot, I think the mens have an excellent chance at the gold but the womens I nervous about. Also, if you've ever played it you know it's a sport!
I also love figure skating, hockey, ski jump and speed skating. I am a much bigger fan of the winter olympics then the summer. One of my friends at work is also working at the olympics. I am so jealous.
