Coming To Visit. Need Ideas.
I'm coming down to Austin on Thursday for a week to celebrate my sister's 21st birthday. We'll be celebrating a lot, so I have two crucial questions.
Where are the best places to take a fresh 21 year old? I already know we're hitting Red River District since that's more her scene but what about things like happy hour?
And after getting completely smashed, where are the best places for hangover food the next day?

Definitely go to Coyote Ugly and Pete's Piano Bar for her birthday- so much fun!
For breakfast check out El Chilito for breakfast tacos on Barton Springs. They have fantastic service and their tacos are on corn totrillas- yum.
Also, there is Texas Star on S Congress. If you go there there is lots of local shopping in the general vicinity.

Max's Wine Dive has the best brunch for a hangover. Such a great place. We went there to nurse New Year's Eve hangovers and it did the trick. Hubs got the all you can eat chicken & waffles, and ohmyLord, was that delicious. I got the french toast and it was HEAVENLY. That place is also great for dinner. Big fan!

Ditto Max's Wine Dive for dinner or a hangover brunch. Sooooo good.
As far as bars, just going up and down 6th street would be easiest. Lots of free drinks/shots for a 21st birthday to be had there. For pre-partying I'd stick to the 4th street/Lavaca area.
