I have a costume party this weekend that is 80s and 90s. I'm thinking everyone is going to do 80s, so I was thinking about going more towards the early 90s. Think "My So Called Life". I don't want to look totally frumpy, so something that has a little sex appeal would be nice. Any ideas? Better yet, anyone have any old Doc Martens or flannel laying around?
If it helps, I'm 5.3, size 4, and wear a size 6 shoe. TIA!
Re: Someone dress me 90s!
Good lord woman, you are tiny!
:::slides size 9.5 docs back into the back of my closet:::
Here's some inspiration:
I know, I'm super short and have freakishly tiny feet. Thanks for the tips though!
On a totally separate note, I can't get my blipping siggy pics to work! Ugh!
I'm no help, but... mmmm Jared Leto... ::Drool::
haha j/k
Darn, I just got rid of my size 6 doc martins!
I have a pair of boots that could work. (I'm 5' 2" and size 6-7) email me if you want to come and see them

:::Drool::: That is inspiration all right. Inspiration to spend some extra time in the shower!
Hahaha, Wikipedia has a whole page on 90s clothes!

Loose fitting belly exposing t-shirt?? Let us know what you end up wearing! Have fun
You could go the "Clueless" route, especially since you're so petite.
My standard "going out" outfit in the early 90s was stone washed jeans, matching stone washed denim vest, and a velvet short-sleeved mock turtleneck. Also, a black belt with lots of silver on it, and what I used to call "pilgrim shoes."
Remember those shirts that snapped at the crotch? I wore a lot of those with baggy jeans and leather woven belts + mannish shoes. I'd tie a long-sleeved (flannel or otherwise) shirt around my waist often. In case I needed to layer?
Clearly, I was at the height of fashion.

One hyphenated word: shoe-boots!
With white socks, naturally. And any kind of vest. And a choker necklace.
I cringe at my former self...
hehe!! I had so many different shade of the turd brown lipsticks!!
And I love body suits, they stayed tucked in so well!
Haha, me too! I sported the dark brown lip liner with lighter lipstick....so classy!
