I am starving...again : (

I am working out a little harder than usual, but this is redic!

I am eating within my 1400-1600 calorie and very nutritious/nutient dense things and I am always hungry and hour or two before my next meal.  I do have a couple snacks, but what is the deal???

I even wake up hungry - like, really hungry.  Tongue Tied

  • maybe since you stepped up your workouts you need more food intake?  not saying go crazy, but  a few more calories to balance out??

    I have been eating 2 snacks a day - about 300 calories or so more and that isn't helping either.

    Ugh.

  • Snickers is suppose to satisfy (ha!) sorry had to say it.
  • I feel your pain- I swear I even get hungrier when I do different types of workouts that burn the same # of calories. If I burned 300 calories walking, I'm fine, but if I run those same calories off I am starving and I always crave a burger or something really substantial. Weird.

  • Maybe it's your cycle.  I know the week before I get my period, my cravings and hunger increase a lot.  It's terrible for me!

  • Jeebus, that's all you eat?!!! I'd be starving, too!!!!!!!  Are you trying to lose weight or maintain?  I've tried to advocate for nothing under 2,000 calories/day for active folks with nutrition talks I've done.  How's your fiber? Fat? Protein?  If you're not eating anything with "staying" power then you'll be hungry.  You probably drink enough water, but keep that in mind if you aren't.  Hope that helps!

    Just maintaining - but I am only 5'1", so you have to factor that in also.  That has been my calorie range for about 2+ years and its worked out so far.  I must have to make some kind of adjustment.

    IMHO, if I ate 2000 a day, I would gain, without a doubt.
