I was complaining to MH the other day about in public restrooms, how toilet seat covers don't really cover the whole seat. He said, but it does. I said, no it doesn't. So he asked if I was putting it on backwards. I was like, noooo, of course not! So I took a pic with my phone and sent it to MH. He said, "I love you but it's backwards". Crap (no pun intended), so I've been using these toilet seat covers incorrectly all along!?! So I was wondering, what do you ladies do with toilet seat covers? After you rip the tab out from the middle, do you put it on the seat with the tab at the front of the toilet or at the back?[Poll]

Re: Toilet Poll
Tab at the front...that always seems to fit the shape of the seat better.
Also, you would DIE in Australia. Toilet seat covers aren't used here (at all. anywhere.) except in international airports.

It looks like I've been using them backwards all along too! You're not alone, Hanyi!
yay for toilet polls! hadn't had a toilet story/poll from lisa in a while, so i'm glad you stepped up to the plate
...so, erm...i voted, but i'm *still* not positive which way is correct! i'm assuming the majority of the votes are correct? i've always wondered this myself - thanks for asking! haha
MH did some research on my behalf cuz I couldn't believe that I was really using it backwards all this time and he just found this: http://www.poopreport.com/Ask/using_ass_gasket.html. Granted, the answer was tailored towards men but it's a good site for resources on this topic
I didn't see a photo there but I found this on google - I think this is how it goes?

Very good poll! And its good to know I'm still learning new things in life!! Apparently all along I've been doing it wrong.
I found this same picture above because I was so curious myself.
I was just about to say....was wondering whether I've been hangin out in the wrong toilets lol.
Oh...my....gawd....I've been doing it wrong my entire life! I hang my head in shame....
So-o-o-o funny! I really thought, when I saw the title, we can't possibly have another toilet poll. Haven't we covered it already?
hehehehe, I had it covered wrong. I never thought even thought about it. I always just dropped the flap in the back (like ye olde union suit with the flap in the back).
Funny thing is that I'm directionally disabled. It should be a real condition. Seriously, I do everything the opposite. I'm left handed. I turn the wrong direction. I need a GPS to tell me how to put the seat cover on - "Turn counter-clockwise... drop flap... you have arrived!"
Thank you so much for teaching me the ways of the seat cover.
Anyone have any other toilet topic?
I probably have more to learn.

This. HAHA.
*whew* I do it the right way lol!
Hehe, almost half of us got it wrong (flap in the back) so I don't feel so bad now (early in the poll when everyone was voting for front and I was thinking OMG I feel so stupid!)...but at least now I know! I'm glad I had this "debate" with MH because I would've just kept doing it wrong and wondering why they didn't make the covers fit better.
The only thing I noticed is that it doesn't flush down as easily when the flap is in the front. I had to give it a push to make sure it went down with the flush =P Does anyone else notice that?
I just tear the flap off entirely and drop it in the bowl before putting down the liner.
but - *maybe* - the tab in front is supposed to be a built-in magic carpet!
eta: nah, it's not long enough. oh well, it was worth a thought.
