~~~Stepharoonie~~~
Steph,
 Just wanted to write you and tell you that my sis just told me she got us both on the Disney Magic for both our birthdays 10/11-10/18 for her freebie cruise.  I think I had mentioned to you awhile back that I had been waiting and waiting and waiting for her to get the OK for the cruise, but since all the sailings have been booked, cast members have been getting bumped off sailings for paying customers.  Looks like we are finally going.
This will be my 4th Disney Magic cruise.  I am really excited, but bummed cause DH cant go on this one due to fact he just opened his law practice.  Its just gonna be girls cruise (mom, sis, me, and niece).
I havent been on since 2004.  Has anything changed?  I heard the piano bar is gone now and its a sports bar. That is cool but would be cooler if DH was on with me.  The ship is actually just coming out of dry dock and I know they completely revamped the adult pool area and added on stuff.  Looking forward to THAT!  Do they still have the grilled lobster and the cookie dough ice cream at adult beach at Castaway??  Mmm
Re: ~~~Stepharoonie~~~
  • LUCKY DUCK!  Color me seriously GREEN with envy!  Think of me while you're on that cruise... ;)
    Yes, the ship got the same upgrades that the Wonder received last year or the year before.  There is now a kid's splash zone area for little ones in diapers, more food options, I *believe* a sports bar, and a huge HD screen at the family pool deck.  I think they also redid part of their Rainforest room.
    BTW, I highly recommend getting that length of stay pass for the Rainforest room.  It's wonderful.  There are heated tile loungers, three scented showers, lots of free tea and a few other things.  It was really nice to take a book in there and relax.
    Castaway Cay still has the yummy lobster burgers AND that cookie dough ice cream!!! :)  And for some reason, I never knew until the last cruise that they have all of those same offerings on the adult beach, just less people standing around.  Pretty cool!!
  • Haha, yeah the goodies on adult beach BBQ are pretty hush hush and only usually castaway club members know about it.  I actually got lobster tails on the grill though last 2 times I went.  I have never had a lobster burger.  That sounds interesting indeed lol
    I thought about the rainforest room thing for mom and I, but do you think it would be ok for someone with ultra sensitive skin with all those scents and stuff?  I have such problems with my hives sometimes, and I will have to deal with them enough when I go in the salt water.  It never fails.
    I would love to try the rainforest room though..just nervous about it effecting my condition.
    Just think, next time you sail on DCL, you can take baby Zach with you!  How cute!!!!!
  • Butting in....The rainforest room ROCKS!!!! I have two good friends that work for the cruiseline and they emailed me today with a bunch of openings. I am dying to go :( Just no time left to take off work!
  • Maybe my sis knows your friends Tiff!  :)
