Veal

* I posted on a few other boards that I frequent but wondered if there would be a different perspective here.

So this question comes from my friends work. Part of their business is in the veal market and their marketing folks are wondering what their target audience (25-45) think about veal. This got my husband and I talking and our opinions are vastly different.

When you think about veal what are the top 4 things that come to mind?

Re: Veal

  • 1. Baby cow

    2. Veal Parmesan

    3.

    4.

    I guess I don't have 4 top things, only two.  I'm 31 FWIW.

    1) Stuffed veal florentine lovingly prepared by the hospital kitchen. Ick!

    I ate jello instead.

  • 1. Cruel

    2. Inhumane

Ya, I don't eat veal.  Too bad though, because I love italian food, and some of the yummiest dishes have veal in them!  I wish they could substitute a meat that was grown in a more humane manner.

I am 29, and grew up on a hobby farm (with cows, pigs, and lamb that were raised for consumption).

  • Hmmm, I don't eat veal, never have, likely never will. I doubt I've even tried it. No one in my family eats it but the first and only thing I think of is Veal Parmigiana.

To be honest though, I didn't even know what veal was until reading this post!

    2. Cruel

    3. Gross

    4. Animal torture.
