So, they're jerking J around...
They said...DER, we forgot to post the job internally. We got in big trouble for forgetting to do that last time.
So they posted it and it's been sitting untouched for a week except for one person who said "I'm not qualified for this; I just want you to know I want to advance."
They told him he has the job...we're still waiting to hear about his start date. He hasn't taken the prerequisite drug test yet. And they better have done his background check because he has a common name and that will take eons.
I'm just very annoyed.

This - especially since they sought him, not vice versa.
DH went through this last year. He was approached and told off the cuff the job was his. It wasnt. He almost quit when they gave it to another employee who was more qualified.
I hope it works out for J... Good job vibes his way!
