Andrea & anyone who has been to LA =)

Andrea....Nami suggested that I ask you what you did while you were out there...so here I am askin ya! lol

Anyone else do anything out there that they would suggest or maybe something not to waste my time on?? Thanks yall! It's almost friday...YAY!!!

Re: Andrea & anyone who has been to LA =)

  • My first trip I went to see the Hollywood sign and to Rodeo Dr. Second trip I went to the fashion district. Its all these stores with clothes, shoes, purses etc. It was a lot of fun. Not sure if you want to go to Disney Land. California Adventure is fun too.
  • Nami gave you some great suggestions, it's just a matter of what you're looking to do while you're out here.

Like more scenic/fun/artsy/Hollywood-ish stuff? Watch a Laker game? For some reason, I love LA for the food. LOL, go figure.

Gourmet taco trucks are all the rage right now, and Kogi's Korean Tacos (which are FABULOUS) are a must try, too.  http://kogibbq.com/ you can check out their website/twitter to see where they'll be.

Sprinkles cupcakes - Red velvet and strawberry are my picks.

Diddy Riese - my cousin loves this place.

Farmer's Market in LA is pretty cool & touristy stuff.

Want to hear live music - check out http://www.hotelcafe.com/ - cover is $5 and 2 or 3 performers that night.

Do you want to see any shows while you're out here? La Philharmonic- where Nami did her e-pics? Even just to take pics there...it's a cool building.

But you have to a scenic drive, and take lots of pics here:

Pacific Coast Highway we call it the PCH - when you go to Santa Monica

Rodeo Drive to Benedict Canyon to Mullhulland - stalk some movie stars or accidently run into them. Think Pretty Woman. lol

Sunset Blvd - so many clubs, and fun places to see. Down the street from Pinks hot dogs.

Hollywood Blvd - to check out the stars, Kodak, Chinese Mann theatre - maybe watch a new movie released there. Or do something cheesy, and watch a tv taping if you want.

Check out http://www.laweekly.com/ for more current events during around when you'll be here.

HTH...I'll keep thinking of more things for you to do. We'll probably go salsa dancing up in Studio City near Universal Studios.
