Speaking of Breast Cancer...
I'm contemplating running in the upcoming 5K "Race for the Cure" in Birmingham on Oct. 11th. Here's a link if anyone else is interested in doing it!!

Re: Speaking of Breast Cancer...
I just mentioned that in the other post. I wanted to do it this year but with money being tight, I just don't have the $30 to pay to do it. But I'll definitely consider it for next year.
Go for it Celeste!
LOL...that would be funny! Something to keep in mind for next year.
our work has a team...something like the pink crusaders... LOL
nesties for breasties... LOL or nesticles for breasticles.... lol!
ok....i shall stop... LOL
lol lauren i LOVE it..hahaha. that is so awesome. i think i'd run a little faster knowing i was wearing a hilarious shirt like that.
i may sign up again this year..although i have done ZERO training!
celeste, my work has a team too....they pay the registration fee. dh and i did it last year and it was so awesome running w/ so many people united for one cause. pretty cool to run through the streets of bham too
I have done the Komen race since I was in college. My sorority does the pink survivor tent, the flowers for them when they finish, the in honor/memory of signs, etc.
I usually participate in ATL just b/c that's where my best friend lives and she and her mom are survivors and I've walked w/them for the last 8 yrs. I highly rec'd it and its not a hard run/walk. It is hard to run it b/c the crowd is huge.
Oh and I would do the B'ham one but my in laws will be in town from IN for the AU game. I only see them like twice a year b/c they live so far away.
What a great idea though!!!
Awesome! I'll be on the look-out for fellow Nesties, then! I'm thinking that I really want to do it...my best friend is doing it too, so I think it'll be a fun experience.
"Nesties for Breasties"....LMAO.....Lauren - I love it!!!!
Heather - a 5k is only about 3.1 miles...you could totally do it!!!
