your wedding dress?
I looked at mine in my closet last night. I haven't even gotten it dry cleaned yet (oops!) I hate to part with it because I do love my dress, but then again it's pointless to just keep it. Also, if I keep it I have to get it preserved so it doesn't turn yellow. It just seems like too much work. So now I'm thinking it might just be easier to donate it or sell it. I figure it's about time to make a decision about it!

As far as I know, they turn a dingy yellowish color sometimes if you don't preserve them correctly after a while.
Mine is hanging in the nursery closet. I had fully intended on donating it, but now that we're having a little girl I want to keep it around for her. Not that I really think she'll want to wear it for her wedding, but she may enjoy playing dress up in it, and she may want to take pieces of it to use in her dress someday. Even if I'd donated it I still planned on saving my veil and hand-made lace garter for her to use.
TTC #1 since 08/11 IUI#2 = BFP!
I just sent mine out to get cleaned before Christams. I used Affordable Preservation dot com or somthing very close to that. It was really easy in that they sent me a box, I stuffed my dress, veil, and jacket in there, and sent it off, poastage already paid!
I had planned to do some type of trash the dress, but since I literally sweated through the entire dress I wanted to get it cleaned before it stained.
The dress does have a tendency to turn yellow especially if it isn't cleaned. You don't necessarily have to preserve it, but getting it cleaned will prevent a good amount of potential staining. Perserving it adds a bit more of extra insurance, although it seems if you have lace it has a very large chance of truning anyways.
