Nicki called me last night/early this morning! Baby Timothy Joseph was born at 10:37 on January 25th by emergency c-section. He was 6 pounds 13 oz. Length currently unknown as they are going to measure him in the nursery.
Nicki went in at 6 AM to start the induction process and went a very long time on a lot of discomfort as a result of her 1st epidural not working. Let me tell ya what a champ this chick is!!! They gave her a pain reliever called nubane but given her extreme discomfort as she progressed on they tried the epidural 1 more time in the mid-evening. However after they tried again TJ's heartrate dropped to 88 bpm so it was unknown if he was laying on the cord or what, but time to get that pumpkin out!
Overall mommy and baby are doing great. She is still in some discomfort and they are going to suppliment with a bottle for a bit as she was still pretty uncomfortable last night. She let me go because the nurses were coming in to help clean her up more as she got pretty sick from the anesthesia stuff. She is doing better this morning and really ready to FINALLY be able to hold her cutie son.

I'm well. Kinda scary with the idea that "i'm next". Well at least May 09 played it well with 1 boy and 1 girl to follow. LOL. I tell Nicki all the time how adorable my future son-in-law is

This weekend is my baby shower with the family. My sister is sending me on a "treasure hunt" so I guess I will find out soon enough where it is but it is a really neat idea. I have been holding off on a lot of purchases, so I am hoping that after the shower I will start to feel like we are getting everything together and ready. It is so weird knowing we are at this point, but it is exciting too.
