do you think you'd have help you move?
We have:
--our bedroom set (two dressers, small nightstand, bed frame (which comes apart), mattress, box spring.)
--couch & love seat (recliners, so they're heavier than normal.)
--futon frame & mattress.
--miscellaneous boxes (I'm going to estimate here and say ~20 total based on what will be left after Greg and I haul over the next 3 weeks.)
--TV stand, LARGE DVD wooden shelving unit, TV (one of the old ones with the tube in it so its heavy.)
--treadmill.
--garage stuff (lawn mower, snowblower, small, fairly portable freezers on wheels.)
We have enlisted:
--Greg's parents (so his dad can help lift, but he's a fairly skinny guy),
--his friend Jesse & his wife, Jody (Jesse is like a freaking bull. No joke -he's probably the strongest man I know), and
--Jared (pretty strong guy.)
We also might have the 16 year old neighbor boy come help us (he's Mr. Baseball, so he's fairly strong as well.)
I want to say that's enough, but both Greg and I are afraid we will wish we had more people. When we initially moved, we had a few more people but I never touched a thing (no one let me! They just grabbed and asked me where things went!)
Re: How many people (moving ?)
I would say thats probably good, if you could get another 1-2 guys I would say that would be helpful but probably not completey necessary.
We will have a truck (MH's work truck), which about the size of a large U-Haul. ILs also have a normal sized pick-up, which we're trying to get the week before we move to move smaller things Greg and I can manage. The couple that's helping us move has either an SUV or a fairly good-sized truck and the guy that's also helping has an SUV.
That should definitely be enough people. When we moved last year we had:
MH, FIL, BIL, other BIL, dad and uncle who did all the "moving" of our things. MIL, mom, sis and I were at my house putting things away and point where to put boxes/furniture.
