Errors

Hey Guys,

We just launched something to fix the error messages you've been getting.  Notice any improvement?

Thanks!

Re: Errors

  • A lot of improvement!  I am seeing a lot more posting on all boards, and a lot less complaining.  Thanks for all your hard work!

I have another glitch that has just started happening this afternoon, and its not on all boards.  My board, May 2011, is no longer showing who posted last and how long ago that was. That is how I am able to keep up with the posts I haven't read yet so I miss it already.

  • I'm not noticing any error messages, which is awesome, but at the same time, I'm having a huge problem with my messages not showing up and recent posts not showing up. I have to refresh several times or back out of the threads entirely and go back in to see my posts, and when my post does show up, the other posts do too.

  • I totally agree with Whit.  It's really slow tonight and extremely wonky. Posts are still randomly going into other threads on other boards and now it won't show posts for a few minutes.

The most recently active knottie thing hasn't been fixed in ages - is it just me?

I'm also still missing the list of boards on the left.

  • Ditto the posts not showing the latest count/last Knottie to reply.

I also am noticing that when it does show the latest reply, I click the link, and the reply is not there.

Both take multiple refreshes to get it to work.

On a positive note, I have noticed that knotties with "&" in their names are starting to be able to post again!  Yay!

  • Yes things seem to be moving faster without error messages so YAY! & yes people with &'s in their name are posting again!

I do wish there was something to notify you when you have a PM. Knotties have been paging me  when they have sent me a PM.

  • Ditto what other girls have said. It takes a while for a new post to show up, I have to refresh refresh. Also the bold and un bold is still really wacky... and randomly bolds and un bolds as I refresh.
  • Thanks for letting me know all these, I'll make sure they're all added to the list.

On this one, what browser are you using and what version?  They should only rebold when someone adds a new thread.

PC Firefox. It re bolds often when I refresh, then will unbold, then re bold (even when nothing was added/changed).

  • TK is running pretty slow for me today (using Safari) and I keep getting this message:

We are sorry web forum service is not available now.

  • I'm using FF on a PC just like Buttons and having the same problems.  And I believe JBs_Bride is having the problem, too.  She is also using FF.

  • Wow, I now can't get ANYTHING to load.  It gives me "the web forum service is unavailable right now" and I have refreshed repeated times.

    **EDIT**

Okay, it finally worked after about 20 refreshes.  :(

  • I asked the girls on my board about the BOLD and UNBOLD.  Several have mentioned also having the same problem.  Browsers reported are Google Chrome, FF, and IE.

Also, they mentioned the post counts still be off.  A thread says it has 30 posts, but when you open it, you find 3.

  • Ditto bold/unbold.  I have noticed that on the Philly board and on Oct2010 board.

I also am noticing issues with the reply timing. I have my "sort by recent posts" unchecked, and the posts are all discombobulated- 2 hours, followed by 38 minutes, followed by 56 minutes, etc.  There is no rhyme or reason to how the posts are sorted.  I am not sure if this is related to the other random post changes.

I have also noticed that it will randomly change the time of latest reply.  I will reply, go back to the board a few minutes later, and it will say that my reply was 3 days ago, and then when I refresh several times it says the correct timing.
