How many weddings have you been in?

s/o from a couple of the comments in the Friday confessional post.  How many times have you been a BM, or stood up in a wedding in some way other than your own? (if we've already done this poll before, I apologize; I can't remember anymore)

Let's see, I think I've been in six now.  I don't even want to think about how much money I've spent on all of them!

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: How many weddings have you been in?

  • Just 3 so far - although I feel like that number is going to spike in the next couple of years. I'm one of the oldest of my friends and family so I was one of the first to take the plunge.
  • MOH/Bridemaid - 0

(Note: I'm only 26 and the oldest of my friends - majority are not married.)

    Flower Girl - 2

  • 3 so far. And 2 upcoming though they aren't engaged yet. I have already been informed I will be their MOHs.
  • I've been a BM in 2, and will be MOH in one next year.

They're really thinking ahead, huh? :)  I've only been MOH once, and that was at the age of 22 when I knew less than nothing about weddings. I actually recently apologized to that friend for being a crappy MOH Stick out tongue

Well 1 is my sis, the other is my BFF, both of who are OBSESSED with getting engaged/rings/diamonds/blah blah.

  • I have been in 6, plus was asked to be in an additional one and bought a dress but the wedding was called off.

  • 2... one before I got married, and one after. I say this because the experience is so much different after you've experienced the first (and your own wedding)

One of my BMs is engaged, I was not asked to be her BM and in a lot of ways, I'm relieved.

  • 2, with a 3rd in April.

I called my friend who got married before me (when we were 25) and apologized probably once a week for things I think I said during her planning like "can't we just go barefoot to your wedding". I was finishing grad school & completely broke and she got married in WI. There wasn't much we could do for her in terms of helping, planning or even shower/ bachelorette party/

  • BM - 1  (I'm 24 and most of my friends aren't married yet)

    FG/Jr BM - 4

  • I was a flower girl once but I've never been a BM/MOH. I was the first of my friends to get married (although 2 got married this last year but had very small wedding parties just with siblings) so I'm sure I'll have a few eventually.
  • 6

my own, 2 as matron of honor, 2 as a bridesmaid, 1 as a flower girl

  • I have been a bridesmaid in four and MOH in one so far!
  • I've been in 10 weddings so far (3 times as a flower girl, 7 times as a bridesmaid), and have been a MOH for two weddings that were eventually called-off. I'm also a bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding.

  • I have been MOH in my brother's wedding a few years back and I will be a BM in my friend's this summer.  Most of my friends are married, but had very small bridal parties of mostly family and 1 friend.

  • 2 - one as a junior BM for my aunt when I was little and one as a BM for one of my BMs the same year I got married.

I've probably got 3 more to go - my two sisters and my other BM.  Although the BM is not a definite because she is pretty much a professional bridesmaid at this point and knows how much work and money it is and isn't sure if she wants to ask other people to do that for her.

  • Flower girl - 1

    Bridesmaid - 3
