s/o Political Books

I have a funny story!

Several months ago, I was at Barnes and Nobles (where else?) and I was reading some political books and this guy next to me says:  "You know what's wrong with today's politicians?"  Not quite knowing where this was going to go, I shrugged my shoulders and said "What?"  He said, "LSD!  They did so much LSD in the 60s it killed their brain cells."

After several minutes of hearing this guy rant and rave about LSD, I had to leave to find a corner to go laugh.  I could no longer keep a straight face.  Normally I like to egg these people on just to get them to say crazier and crazier things but I just couldn't do it this time.

Re: s/o Political Books

  • OMG ChelleA.  I went to Andrew Wilkow's wedding.  MH and him were good friends; they attended WVU together and both did local broadcasting.  I actually debated his friend a US Rep from western NC that I lambasted while getting drunk.  OMG, the stories I could tell you.  His wife is from my hometown in NJ.  Totally random, but I was talking to her parents about it at the wedding.  I got drunk b/c I didn't know what else to do....
  • SHUT UP!  Oh, my God!  His wife is so beautiful!  Is she really that sweet in person?  Andrew talks about her all the time on his show.  I am sooo jealous!

Who was the US Rep?  I moved from NC to Iowa in 2001.

  • I remember Brittany being very sweet.  They came to our wedding too, since it was right up the road from her dad's house.  The Rep was Patrick McHenry.  He was a nice guy and he tried, but he was a Bushie and I was drunk, so there was no surviving my tirade.  MH actually had to take me out of the wedding b/c I was being unruly...well, now you know.  Don't ever sit me next to a tow-the-line Republican at a wedding.  LOL.
