These babies have been kicking like crazy for a good two months, but for some reason every time Ben tries to feel it, they stop moving. I mean immediately. It's actually kind of funny - the second he puts his hand on my belly, they settle down. He's felt the odd kick here and there, but I'd say it's less than once a week, even on the days when I swear they're playing soccer or wrestling or something in there.
Today I discovered that Twin B has started playing the "I'll kick you, then you poke me, then I'll kick you again, etc etc" game, so I called Ben over to give it a shot, even though I figured that when he tried poking my belly the baby wouldn't react. But the little guy surprised us both and actually played a few rounds with Ben!
My husband now has a huge grin on his face and is happily bouncing around the house because he finally got to really feel one of his babies reacting to his touch - it's so funny and sweet!

how exciting!!
i think babies just know somehow b/c this seems to be a common phenomenon where as soon as dad puts his hand on the belly, they stop moving! every mom i've talked to says the same thing

awwww, so special!
our baby still sometimes does that - it will be running it's bone-y foot up and down my stomach and I ask DH to watch or feel and the baby immediately stops.
Isn't it funny how they always seem to know when to stop? John doesn't even bother trying half the time now because he knows that the baby will stop as soon as he comes over.
I've also been trying to video my bump when it's moving like crazy and of course, baby stops moving as soon as I hit the record button.
Yay for Ben!
