We're going to Ruth's Chris!

Yum..this is our first time eating there. We decided to take advantage of Restaurant Week. Can't wait. What should I wear? Not sure if I can get away with jeans and a nice top, or more dressy?

Re: We're going to Ruth's Chris!

  • I've worn jeans and nice top there a few times. When we've gone for DH's birthday, I've dressed up more but really due to the celebration, not the restaurant. I know someone who went in shorts and was seated at the bar, but that's the only time I've heard of them "enforcing" a dress code.  Hope you enjoy it - we've never had a bad experience there!

  • Yup, nice jeans and a top would be great. If you like Chicken, I HIGHLY recommend trying the split chicken breast,,, its the BOMB diggigdy BOMB!
  • Eh, personally I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing jeans in there. Slacks, sure, but not jeans for dinner.

The last time we went to Ruth's Chris, one of the chef's special selections was kobe (or as DH now calls it, "Butter meat"). I have never in my life paid $65 for a steak - no sides, mind you, just for the 12oz hunk of meat. It was totally worth it. Totally.

  • We went there once, the food was really good, I think for one of the sides we got mashed sweet potatoes or something and it was YUMMY. You might want to ask them if, at all possible, they could give you a more private table, when we went, they put us at a two-seat table in a big long row, with a loooong bench on one side and a chair at each table on the other. We were literally like, 2 feet or less away from the other diners and could hear exactly what they were saying to each other, and they could hear us, so it was a little awkward.
  • Have fun. I've heard their food is awesome!
  • meat cooked in butter YUM. Enjoy!
  • have fun. I probably would not wear jeans, but it sounds like others would.
