psa - sales!

We went to the mall for the first time since Christmas today and found some good sales.  Lands End at Sears is 50% off the lowest price and all clearance at Bon-Ton is 70% off the lowest price.  I got a new down jacket at Sears, I bought the cold weather winter coat I wear now in 1993.  I think it is time for a new one.  There are tons of baby clothes at Bon-Ton 70% off.  While I was in the kids dept there was a lady smacking her kid (about a 2 year old girl), I wanted to say something but she really looked like she would punch me.  You need a license to drive but not to parent. Sigh.

Has any one been to the PB Kids outlet lately?  I want to get some Star Wars pillows and I was hoping to find them at the outlet.

  • Wow, great deals!  Thanks for the psa.  I'd like a new winter coat too.

I'd call the PBK outlet and ask if they have them.

  • Thanks for posting...DH liked a Lands End vest at Sears, so I'll have to stop in to see if it's still there and what it's priced at now.  I liked a lot of the LE stuff too, maybe I'll find a few things for myself :)
  • I really wish I had the time to stop at bon ton.  Jack is starting to grow out of a lot of his 3-6 PJs (oddly enough most of his regular 3-6 clothes are still fitting) so we'll have have to make a trip soon.

I really want to get to the PB Kids outlet soon too so if I see them there Denise I'll give you a call.

This reminds me of the terrible scene I seen arriving to day care on Friday.  Two parents yelling obscenities at each other in front of not only their child but other people's children.  Their child has been acting out and all I caught was the tail end of the conversation with one of the owners saying about a 'zero tolerance policy' . . and then the Dad saying to the Mom "And you wonder why the hell he is the way he is".  Followed up by obscenity after obscenity about the Dad needing his own ride home and how she's ready to kick him out of her life as they made their way out of the center. . nice, real nice!  I really felt for that little boy and the life he had to go home to.  The owner apologized to me for having to witness that and said it was in her top ten of bad parent moments while she's been in child care.  I really don't understand some people.
