Morning ladies!

How was everyone's weekend?

Ours was good. It was way too fast though. Friday night we hung out with the non-friends, which wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Saturday my mom and I went down to the outlets in the morning, which was very productive!

Then in the afternoon we went with DH and my dad to Tiny Totland in Manchester. We found two cribs we loved, so now we just have to pick one!

Yesterday we finally settled on a wall color for the nursery! I'll be blogging about that soon :-)

Re: Morning ladies!

  • yay for a baby-related weekend!

Our weekend was good.  Tim came home Friday (he'd been in RI for work for 10 days) and we went out to dinner with a new couple-friend.

Saturday and Sunday were pretty relaxing.  Tim had to install a new garage door opener because our old one broke while he was away.

Sunday night we went to SIL & BIL's house for dinner to celebrate my FIL's birthday.

  • I had a great weekend. It wasn't in my head and my BM asked me to be in her wedding (as well as my other BM and another friend of ours; we will join her sister and FSIL). Smile After we had lunch the three of us took her to go try on dresses for fun. It was fun being on the "other side". A lot less pressure.

  • Happy Monday! Happy February! Crazy, huh?

I had Friday off because DH left for work/ visiting a friend in TX that morning and the kitten had his neutering surgery- so I was home with them. My BFF drove down for the weekend and we had an awesome girls w/e. We made an incredible dinner on Friday night, topped w/No Pudge Brownie sundaes!

Saturday, we went to BodyPump and did some cardio, then visited our friend's new house, had pizza and went to Isis Maternity in Needham (or is it Newton?)... it's on the line there. Anyway, great sales on some of their clothes. My BFF is 11 weeks pregnant and she got a few tops to wear.

Sunday was nice and lazy. I made muffins (whole wheat oatmeal applesauce yogurt mixed berry chocolate chip!) and BFF left. I caught up one some DVR and then ran errands.

  • J that sounds like a great weekend!  Did you get some new maternity clothes at the outlets?

Mrs T you must be so happy to have your H home!  10 days is super long.

I had a good weekend.  We had training with Luk  on Saturday which went really really well.  I learned a ton, and they helped me so much.  Sunday we were supposed to have a playdate with a couple I had spoken to via email (they were on craigslist looking for a playdate for their large pup) but they never showed, never called, never emailed.  Ehhh.  Oh well.  We ended up doing a drive by on a house that we saw for sale...

Aww yay! Hopefully your BM experience will be a fraction of as horrible as the one I am dealing with right now, lol.

  • We had a really nice weekend.  On Saturday we went to the mall to run some errands and both ended up buying a bunch of clothes on the cheap.  I love a good deal :)  Then we met up with another couple for a fun dinner and night of hanging out.

Yesterday we played a lot of volleyball.  The first two hours we played doubles and wow did I get a workout.  We followed that with two more hours of high-level 6s play.  Afterwards we had dinner with another volleyball couple.  As soon as I got home I soaked in the tub so that I'd have some hope of recovering enough to play in our volleyball league tonight!

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

I only got a couple things. I got a wool coat, which is really good because I only have one coat that fits right now and it's not dressy. I also got a couple of dressy tops, which I'll need for the showers/bachelorette parties coming up this month and next month. I got an awesome diaper bag though! Picture in the blog :-)

    Oh no, what happened?

The bride is very organized and into planning. She is layed back, so I'm not too worried. Except for her sister we've all been part of a wedding before. The only thing I can see becoming a problem is matching schedules; one of our friends works retail and another for the Bruins so their schedules are always weird and changing.

Yes!  It seemed SO long.  We did long distance during college and only saw each other every 6-8 weeks or so, but it's been almost 3 years since that and I'm totally not used to not seeing him!

  • Our weekend was rather productive! I worked Friday night (of course). But Saturday DH and I went to our realtor and put an offer down on a house in Westborough!! We gave them a deadline of Wednesday at 5pm so we're crossing our fingers! I worked Saturday night too.

Sunday morning we went running with our friend Jess, who'll be running a 5k with me in March. And of course, worked Sunday too.

Today officially starts my weekend. Today will just be spent doing things around the apartment and going grocery shopping. Tomorrow DH and I are going to Bistro du Midi in Boston for dinner. I heard it was really good, so I'm looking forward to that. :-)

It's not the bride, but rather her sister. She has never been in a wedding before and is the MOH. Very long story turned very short - there has been no organization to the planning at all, no one else has been allowed to help, and the invites just went out last week for the 20th. Thank god she has let one of the other BMs and I take charge of the bach party. The shower is going to be 100% the opposite of what the bride (my bff) wants, but at least I know the bach party won't be.

  • Sounds like everyone had really great weekends!

Friday night we had dinner with some friends then out to a bar for a going away thing for my old roommate who is moving across the country.

Saturday we did errands in the morning and then at night drove to Mohegan to have dinner at Bobby Flay's new restaurant. The food was really great AND Bobby was in the restaurant. It seriuosly made our night. H was staring the entire time.

Yesterday we did nothing all day- watched lots of movies & tv and went out to lunch.

That sucks. My friend's sister (and MOH) hasn't been in a wedding before either. We've been informed that the 3 of us will be planning the bachelorette party and I would image her sister wouldn't have a problem with us helping to plan the bride's shower. The sister is pretty easy going as well.

  • I didn't do much this weekend. We pretty much hung out. Had fires both nights and watched a movie on Saturday and Sunday we played some board games. We didn't feel like getting out of our pjs!

  • Very chill and relaxing weekend. I baked: almond macarons with nutella filling, whole wheat raisin bread, biscotti (all posted in my blog, except the biscotti- that'll be soon). We also ran a bunch of errands, had way too much fun at Joann's, tried to hang pictures in the house (finally!) and I had a 1.5 hr zumba class to raise money to send to Haiti yesterday morning, and an hour of pilates yesterday evening, so today I can hardly move. It's awesome! lol

And apparently this is a very easy monday, because almost everyone at work has already gone home. I guess I'll go, too! I'm looking forward to my evening- baking cookies and playing with some recipes for baked cod.
