Good Morning Ladies
How is everyone after a too short weekend? I really hate working on the weekend, it throws the timing of the weekend off.
We went to Ikea yesterday (bought a book shelf for the "office"). We also put together David's big boy bed. He has been sleeping in the guest room for over a week and a half, so we just decided to let his crib convert to a full size bed. He wanted nothing to do with the toddler size. When we finished putting it together, it was higher than our bed, so we decided to take off the box spring, so he can get into his bed without a step stool. (We will be going to the store to buy a piece of wood to lay down to help distribute the weight.

Morning. Today is the one year anniversary of my FIL and BIL's deaths. I'm trying to concentrate on anything but that today (so keep me entertained girls)...
MH and I went furniture shopping this weekend. He finally agreed that I could get the armoire that matches our bedroom suite and he wants a loveseat for the living room. We haven't found what we are looking for yet but the furniture store we need to go to was closed on Saturday because of the weather. We're going there tomorrow.
Good morning. I am likely to just about fall asleep today.
I have to focus on something I'm learning to actually do it, and that's the last thing I want to after not getting back to sleep this morning after Greg left. (So I've been up since ~2:47 am.)
In good news, we figured out what colors we're going to paint at the new place... it's insane how 4 shades of what appears to be the same color can look so incredibly different when you see it in the room you'll be painting. I also got a good chunk of packing done in the kitchen (ALL of the margarita glasses are packed, as well as the vases, and most of the baking pans. That doesn't sound like a lot, but that's ~20 glasses that are bubble-wrapped and stacked.)
What colors did you choose Paula?
We STILL need to paint our Foyer, upstairs hallway, two bedrooms and two bathrooms....Sigh....You would think in a year we would have gotten to that!

I'm doing alright but sad I'm not on vacation anymore. Declan is 100% better after being in the warm weather so that makes me happy! We got back on Fri so we had the weekend to unpack and relax before starting back at work.
Mandy I hope this day isn't too hard for you.
Krisitn I'm so glad you had a good vacation and that Declan is feeling better!
My weekend was exhausting and I wish I had a few more days to unpack and orgnaize and recover. I feel accomplished and relieved though, so that was good. And I think this was the first move that MH and I didn't fight the whole day! LOL We actually got along really well and worked really well as I team! So that was really good. I can't wait for things to go back to normal, just a few more odds and ends to take care of and we will be done!! Oh and I got a call from Babies R Us and our crib is coming Thursday!!
I can't find the color samples online... or more accurately, I can find ONE color online, but can't get a link to the sample.
We ended up deciding to paint the living room one color - Hearth Rug. (We were going to paint the wall opposite the door the same darker accent color as the wall in the dining/kitchen, but it just wouldn't work for us. We may do that later, but for now have decided to paint the entire thing the neutral, medium tannish shade of Hearth Rug.)
The dining room/kitchen wall is a darker brown shade called Poppy Pods. Our bedroom will be S______ Wheat (I can't remember what the name is... Sterling Wheat? Sprawling Wheat?) It's a tannish shade with more green undertones.
The spare room will be our last project; it's about as neutral beige as we can get. It's a temporary thing until we actually do something with that room, but we'll likely paint the bathroom the same color (because eventually the bedroom will be repainted.)

I'm wiped out...my training program started again on Saturday and it was exhausting to meet up at 8AM and run in the 19* weather.
I'm going to be an AW though and make a post for my other stuff.

Mandy I hope you are able to keep your mind off things and today is not too bad.
My weekend was great! DH cleaned the whole house on Sat. for me while I was at my mom & dad's working on baby shower stuff for one of my BF's. We went to dinner and to Lowes/Home Depot looking for a chandelier for the nursery and we found one, my dad is on his way over to put it up, so excited! Yesterday I was able to cook a lot and DH finished working on the house, it was just wonderful!
It started off rough with a bunch of people bailing but ended up going really well! Thanks for asking
I am soooo relieved it's over!
