***smal18***!

imagesmal18:

I missed this on friday, but here goes.

I quit my job and my last day was friday! I have no idea what I want to do in the future, but I needed to get out of where I was. I'll be working part time starting next week. It's setting H & I back financially, but we decided that wasn't important at the moment. We'll see what happens!

I just saw this on the Friday confessions post!  Wow, what a big move!  But yay for you for following your heart.  Where are you going to be working part time?

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: ***smal18***!

  • Thanks!

It is a big move, but we both felt really ready for it. I'm still having a little bit of a hard time "letting go" of the work & my position, but it needed to be done and in the end it's for the best.

I'll be working part time for my mom's company in CT. She does residential home construction. I'll travel down there about 3 days a week when H is working overnights up here, so the schedule works out much better for us. I'm going to be doing a lot of office management, HR, and accounting work for her- she doesn't have anyone in the office at the moment, so it will be all the stuff she just doesnt have time to get done. I'm excited to do something different, see my family more, and have flexibility in my schedule.

  • Wow, that sounds like some exciting changes! And a great way to keep earning some money while sort of taking a break at the same time. Congrats on all the new developments, and good luck!

  • Thanks so much! I'll keep you posted on how it goes!
  • WOW! I give you such credit for doing this. There are so many times where I've wanted to come in and just quit! Good for you!!
