Is Market Center an okay area is Dallas?

I'll be traveling to Dallas for work in April and I'm bringing my family so I'm looking for a suite hotel.

Do you know if the Market Center area is okay?  Specifically, I'm looking at the Dallas Marriott Suites Market Center or the Residence Inn Dallas Market Center.  Is it a good area?

  • It's really business-y around there, but yes, it's a good area.

  • It is very industrial around that area, I personally wouldn't classify it as a nice or good area, especially for bringing your family to stay with you.  There won't be attractions or things to do within walking distance, so you will need to get a cab or car, but I also wouldn't walk around in that area either.
  • i also would vote no.

  • It's probably safe but not an area I'd want to stay in either.
  • I would have to agree with the PPs, I've stayed there, but we had drive pretty far to get to anything. Have you looked at Addison, Plano,Farmers Branch, or even near the Galleria or North Park? Those are all nice areas and they are near lots of attractions. Hope this helps!
