I took some stuff to sell to the new Brodie Plato's Closet and it was a bust. Almost all of it was from Banana Republic, Gap, Arden B, and Nine West (shoes and boots). They told me upfront that they wanted stuff that 12 to 20 year olds would buy... uh, not so much for this oldster. I would have been surprised that they didn't want ANY of my things except that I browsed around and almost everything out on the racks was from Target, Walmart, Charlotte Russe, and Forever 21. It looked like most of the stuff they have bought is geared towards selling to 6th Street party gals - lots of hoochie mama heels and cheapo tops. Oh yeah, and they had almost nothing one could wear to work (unless you work at a 6th St. club??? I guess). The only pants they had were shorty shorts, mini skirts, and jeans.
Just thought I would make a PSA in case anyone was interested. Oh well.

I know - why would I pay $10 for a USED t-shirt from Target?
(read it. you know you want to.)

The woman who helped me at the Brodie location was very nice and professional (and I dare say that she was probably older than I am).

I would put those on Craigs or eBay. With consignment, you only get to keep a piece of the profit anyway. I guess Plato's Closet and Buffalo Exchange pay you up front, but it's less than you'd make on your own.
I highly recommend Resyle Austin on Burnet Road. They have great quality, selection and a designer rack too. Good sales and specials via email. As a matter of fact, she is having a winter sale starting the 4th which is 50%-90% off all winter clothes. The ladies there are all super nice too!

Have you tried Designer Exchange?
You don't get a whole lot of money, but it's better than nothing.
I second Designer Exchange!
