Currency Exchange Rates - Who's Best?
I noticed that the Euro is relatively weak right now vs. the dollar. As we think this is a temporary depression and our trip isn't until May when it's likely to bounce back, DH and I are thinking of exchanging a sum of money now.
Any idea who has the best exchange rates around here?
Re: Currency Exchange Rates - Who's Best?
I Agree!! The Dollar stinks against the Euro - and has for about the past year... which is the reason why DH has said no more trips to Europe
That being said, we actually found a pretty good deal through 5/3 at the airport. You also might want to check with your credit card company to see what their fees/exchange rates are, as well.

I wouldn't play that game. I'd just find an international credit card that does not charge a conversion fee or ATM fees and use it to withdraw large sums of money at ATM's once you're over in Europe. They tend to have the best conversion rates.
The banks hit you with too many fees in the states and the TI's and banks give you horrible exchange rates once you are in Europe. We use a Fidelity debit/credit card. We couldn't believe how much money we saved just using it to withdraw money that way.
