We live in a TH with a community garage. The space in front of our door is assigned to us. The spot next to it is a visitor spot. There was a beater parked there for over a year. Turns out our across the street neighbor has been seriously delinquent on HOA fees, maintenance, and has some bills in collection (that seem to come to my house...). Anyway, the HOA had her car towed and told us that if they don't have an HOA sticker, have 'em towed because it's probably her.
Soooo...Friday night we come home and we're a little tipsy from being out, and for the first time in about 3 months, there's a foreign car parked there. The sticker has to be in a specific place, and we didn't see it. We walked all around the car, and didn't see any indication the car belonged there. MH decided to call the towing company and have it towed.
Today we had a girl come to the house asking if we had the car towed. She lives in the complex. We denied culpability. Later today, our HOA president sent out an email saying that if we see cars that aren't registered, to contact the board before having it towed. Ugh, I feel guilty. I mean, we LIVE here, it's not like we're never gonna see these people again. We should've at least given it a day before calling the towing company...
