Happy Tuesday ladies, hopefully we all made it through the Monday blues.
So Mark calls me this morning to tell me that the shoes my MIL ordered for David from Poland came in. I was like, shoes? I thought she was buying him traditional Polish slippers
like these but a more boy design:
But Mark said no, she got him shoes. He thinks they are the most hideous things in the world. He attempts to describe them to me . One pair is a blue hightop but it's too small. The other pair, which he thinks fits, is bright red with other colors and maybe some character and shoelaces.
So I'm thinking like this but 1000 times worse:
She is not allowed to buy shoes for him outside of the Chicagoland area. DH even said that he doesn't want to take him out of the house in them, he'd get beat up if he went to school with those on his feet.
I really think she is trying to relive Mark's childhood (notice his shoes in this picture)
Re: Good Morning
I'm sorry, Mel, I totally guffawed at work. FWIW, ITA with you and Mark!
I'm doing alright... MH isn't feeling so well today (and wasn't last night... I'm really hoping the man just needs more sleep because we didn't sleep well Sunday night and yesterday was a LLLLOOOOONNNNGGG day for him.)
Other than that, my mind is racing a million miles an hour to try and think of everything I need to get at the store tonight - what cleaning stuff we'll need, what's the best option, etc. And gameplans as to how to tackle all the cleaning/organizing we want to do.
Mel, I'm sorry but I actually laughed out loud at those shoes. That's freaking hilarious. Please don't make him wear them. Ever. But if you DO, take pictures and share so we can laugh.
I'm doing ok this morning. MH and I are going furniture shopping this afternoon (I'm only working until 10:45 - we have a luncheon to go to also).
DH just called me back after talking with his sister who has seen the shoes. I guess she said that they are actually slippers and that David is wearing them now and running around the house like a mad man.
I will for sure be taking pictures of these things. I already called my mom to have her scope them out and give me a better description than Mark had to offer.
I can't wait to see this picture Mel!
I am pretty good this morning. I got a lot done last night which was good but still was able to get to bed at a decent hour. This morning is shaping up to be annoying though. Got stuck in traffic, Dr. was running late, then I was late to work becuase of the doctor, my boss was asking me a million questions before I even had my jacket off, another dr. here forgot to tell me about a new patient coming in (need to get benefit info and auths) I am hoping the day gets better because right now I am having a punch someone in the face urge.
Mel that is too funny! Can't wait to see some pictures of these things.
I'm just okay again this morning. I had a nice evening yesterday after a not so great day at work. I had an interview with dish network to work nights and weekends as a technical service rep. It went pretty well I think. Hopefully I will hear something about that in the next week. Still job hunting for a full-time job and there is nothing. And MH suprised me with roses last night and that was so wonderful because he never does stuff like that.
Morning ladies! I'm doing well now after waking up with a sinus headache and taking some meds. I think poor Declan is going through a separation anxiety stage. Sure made dropping him off at day care hard this morning.
Mel I can't wait to see a picture of those shoes!
Oh my gosh, I can't wait to see the shoe pics!
I'm okay this morning...this week is shaping up to be a little better than last week. I left work "early" last night (at 6.15) and I've let myself stay in bed till 6.40 both this morning and yesterday.
We're going to start super cleaning and boxing things up for in case we put the house on the market. That'll be an experience...Mike and I already exchanged words over the fact that he needs to do something w/his man room, and that the new man room will not be looking like a 12 year old boy lives there. Luckily he agrees with me on all of that except the time table I expect it to all be done by.

Mel I can't wait to see a picture of those shoes either!
Val that sounds like me and DH he says he'll get stuff done and I say "no I want it done on my timetable"!
I am great this morning! I am up and showered and ready to head out the door. I need to go to my OB's office and pick up my prenatals (they were out and gave me another, I can't take them anymore). Go to Michaels and the store. Feeling the baby a move a lot these days, love it!
