Super Bowl is this weekend.  Who are you rooting for?  What are people's plans?  Are you hosting or going somewhere to watch the game?  What's on your spread plan for when you get the munchies?

    I am going to Chicago with some girls, but we will be back in the afternoon.  We are having people over to our house so it should be pretty scary b/c DH and the other guys are going to be cooking the food.  Who knows what we will have?!

    We are going to go to our neighbors house!  Should be fun.  I really don't care who wins I just like to watch the commercials!  Hopefully they are better than last years!

    WE typically always host a party - but this year it falls on a friends bday - so they are watching the game at their house. Problem with this is that they have a very small TV and I have a giant one. I would have rather hosted the party for them, but they live a little far from us to have suggested that.

    I guess I should answer my own questions :)...

    We're going to my Uncle's House to watch w/ my extended family.  I'm not locked in on what I want to bring yet but Annie from Annie's Eats posted some yummy looking Pizza Bites and Sausage Dip that I'm considering.  I also might do my blind Cincinnati-style taste test of 3 chilis...

    I'm indifferent to who wins but I guess Go Colts.  Commercials are usually a highlight, too.

    We are just hosting another couple and child this time which is fine by me.  My niece's confirmation is that afternoon (WTF? Can you say crappy scheduling by the Archdiocese?) so I need to prepare most everything the day before.  So crockpot chili, sandwiches, salami rolls, fruit and veggie tray. They are bringing dessert.  We are rooting for the Colts.

    I'm still up in the air about who to root for, I'm not a big football fan so it's basically deciding between Kim Kardashian (her bf is on the Saints) and Kendra's hubby who plays for the Colts. Shameful and embarassing, I know. haha

    Anyways DH and I will be at our house. I've thought about having a few of the neighbors over but we haven't decided anything. As for the spread, we'll just have the usual munchies and dips. Maybe if I'm in the cooking mood on Saturday I'll try to start some chili or something.

    lol too funny!  Clever way to decide who to root for, though.  PS: I love both their reality shows so how's that for shameful and embarrasing? ;)

    I haven't heard of anyone having plans for the super bowl (our house is out because it's in the middle of renovations!) so I think my DH and I will just stay home an watch it together. I still want it to be fun so I think I will do fun foods and snacks to much on, just in much smaller portions! I was thinking buffalo chicken dip with celery, veggies and dip, chips and salsa or guacamole. My DH might want something as a "main" course and if that's the case we'll make homemade pizza. Wow, that seems like a lot of food. How did I let my DH talk me into all of that?!

    I am so glad you posted this so I can show DH tonight that I am not the only one who rationalizes a football game this way!! We had this very argument the other day when he asked me who I was rooting for :) He thinks I am nuts!!

    6/28/10: Lost our sweet baby Addyston at 18wk 1day to pPROM 7/24/11: Michael William born at 24wk 2d due to IC after an emergent cerclage at 18wks, 4wk home BR and 2 weeks hospital BR. Grow strong our little Miracle! 9/17/11: Michael joined his sister in heaven after 8 amazing weeks with us on earth. He fought a very hard fight but NEC was too much for him in the end.     Normally we go to whichever one of our friends that are having a party but this weekend we are going up to MI to go skiing and will be there all weekend. We will just watch it from there. I don't care either way but if I had to pick I'd pick the Colts cause I like Peyton.
