If so, what is your skin care regimine - what do you do to keep it in check?
The dr. diagnosed me with rosacea at my physical last month. It's not bad, yet, but now that she pointed it out, I am noticing it. I'm hesitant to start treatment because DH and I are TTC and it seems like treatment is topical antibiotics. Just looking for any tried and true tips.
Re: Anyone have rosacea?
I have it, at least according to my primary care doctor. I've never seen a dermatologist about it. I only used a topical antibiotic script shortly before our wedding so that I could clear up my skin for the photos.
Have you checked out the rosacea.org website? It lists a lot of the common triggers. I've had a good deal of success with identifying and doing my best to avoid mine (stress, wind, and excessive sunlight are my biggest).
For me, less seems to be more when it comes to skin care: I typically only rinse my face in the morning, and wash it with cleanser at night. I apply a moisturizer with SPF daily, and wear a light dusting of mineral makeup. I'll sometimes also use a liquid foundation for extra coverage, but I tend to have more reactions if I use it too much. To combat the winter dryness, I've also been exfoliating with jojoba oil every other day after showering (I rinse it off after rubbing it in, but it does work to add moisture back). I don't have a lot of acne issues, just minor breakouts when I PMS- so I don't really use acne treatments at all anymore.
