This is normally not a movie that I would be interested in seeing, but all the hype has me intrigued! Anyone want to share a review?

Re: Did anyone see Avatar?
You might think twice after reading this article on Avatar-induced suicide!
To be clear, I don't think that's an actual risk of seeing the movie, but I do feel bad who felt disenchanted with reality after seeing the film.
That is really crazy.
Goodness. Don't they know that it's just a movie and EVERYTHING looks good in a movie? It's not a perfect world, esp if it were real, there would be problems.
Too bad all these people can't take these feelings and put them to good use and make our world a better place.
I liked the movie. I didn't loooove the movie like so many but I thought it was good. Can't say I will want to watch it again or buy it. It's like a once a year, if that, kind of movie.
its worth seeing in the theater (imax 3d if possible). if i didnt see it in the theater i probably wouldnt bother. Like others said, the plot is cheesy and lacking originality. But the visuals are beautiful and well done, and the world they created is intriguing.
also, consider buying tix through fandango, i went this past saturday, and its still selling out.
